Essential Kits for Lowering
These are our Essential kits for Lowering and category that we could have called "camber kits" but that would not tell the whole story. These kits are generally the minimum components that we suggest for lowered cars to correct bumpsteer, camber and toe curves and make your tires last a long time.
Front toe stabilization: Front bushings support the toe deflection caused by braking and the real cause for that inner edge of tread wear on your tires. In most cases toe stabilization is all that is needed on the front end of lowered cars, unless camber static values go over -3 degrees.
Rear toe curve correction: In multilink suspensions, its not all about camber. The rear toe curve acts like 4 wheel steering as the suspension travels and bumpsteer is a larger factor than camber numbers. The inner edge of rear tire wear is more commonly the result of toe changes while driving. Our reat toe links help this by lengthening the arm and reducing its influence on toe. Our rear LCA will counter that further and bring the contact patch of the tire square. The combinations results in a much more stable rear end and of course longer tread life.
Keep in mind the suspension behavior is a Dynamic thing and much more is happening that what is measured on the alignment rack. Alignment racks provide static measurements based on stock assumptions, therfore, there are no "stock specs" for lowering. Check the installation guides for each item and we deliver very detailed specs for toe and camber,if you have any questions please let us know.
